The short version
Use 2Safiri to run your SACCO's transport and collections honestly. Keep your sign-in to yourself, enter only records you are entitled to, and remember that payments are carried by M-Pesa and the banks, not held by us.
About these terms
These terms apply to 2Safiri's website, SACCO dashboard, partner portal and mobile app (together, the “service”), operated by Komiut Systems. By creating an account or using the service you agree to them. If you use it on behalf of a SACCO, you confirm you are allowed to accept them for that SACCO.
How we handle personal data is explained in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.
Accounts & access
- Give accurate details when you register, and keep them up to date.
- Keep your password private and do not share an account. You are responsible for activity under your sign-in.
- What you can see and change depends on the role your SACCO gives you. SACCO administrators decide who has access and should remove it when someone leaves.
- For security, the dashboard signs you out after a period without activity. Tell us straight away at support@2safiri.com if you think your account has been misused.
SACCOs and their records
A SACCO is responsible for the records it enters and manages: its vehicles, crews, routes, fares, tills and members. Add someone's personal details only when you are authorised to, and keep records accurate. Reports and reconciliations are only as reliable as the records behind them.
Payments
Fares paid by M-Pesa or into a bank till are processed by Safaricom and the bank concerned, under their own terms. 2Safiri records, matches and reports those payments; it does not hold the funds. Questions about a specific debit or credit should go to the payment provider, the bank or the SACCO, and we will help with the records we have.
Bank partner access
Where a bank finances a SACCO's vehicles, that bank's authorised users can view the vehicles and collections it finances, and receive statements for them. A SACCO chooses which bank finances each vehicle within the limits the service sets; bank users cannot see vehicles financed by anyone else.
Acceptable use
Do not:
- enter false records, or use the service to mislead passengers, crews, banks or regulators;
- try to reach data, SACCOs or features your role does not allow;
- interfere with the service, probe it for weaknesses, or overload it with automated requests;
- copy, resell or reverse-engineer the service; or
- use it for anything unlawful.
Availability & changes
We work to keep the service available and accurate, but it may occasionally be interrupted for maintenance or by problems outside our control, including with mobile networks and payment providers. We improve the service over time and may change or retire features; where a change materially affects you, we will tell you in advance where we reasonably can.
Liability
The service is provided to support transport operations, not to replace a SACCO's own checks. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for losses caused by inaccurate records, by misuse of an account, or by payment providers and networks. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Suspension & closing accounts
We may suspend or close access that breaks these terms, puts others at risk, or is required to be stopped by law. A SACCO can close its own users' access at any time. You can ask us to delete your account as described in the Privacy Policy; some records may be kept where the law requires.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Kenya, and the courts of Kenya have jurisdiction over any dispute about them. We will always try to resolve a concern with you directly first.
Changes & contact
We may update these terms. The date above shows when they last changed, and we will tell account holders about significant changes. Questions about these terms go to support@2safiri.com or through the contact page.
